Kraven the Hunter Trailer Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Marvel Villain

Aaron Taylor-Johnson Isn’t in the Mood to Make Friends in Sony Pictures’ New Trailer Craven the Hunter.

The studio released the trailer at midnight for director J.C. Chandor’s take on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The film, which hits theaters on December 13, also stars Ariana DeBose, Fred Hitchinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott and Russell Crowe.

Craven the Hunter The film revolves around the Spider-Man villain who first appeared in the comics in 1964. The film follows Taylor-Johnson as Sergei Kravinoff, who was left for dead by his hunter father (Crow) after being attacked by a lion. The animal’s bite apparently grants Sergei superpowers, who becomes known as Kravin the Hunter and uses violence to protect the animal kingdom.

“My father is the one who spreads evil in the world, and I remove it,” Taylor-Johnson says in the first trailer for the film, which premiered last summer.

The previous trailer for the film ended with a teaser revealing Alessandro Nivola, who is set to play Alexei Sytsevich, aka Rhino. In the new trailer, we see more of Nivola and briefly see Rhino taking on Kraven’s mission in what appears to be an African savanna.

The new trailer, set to a stripped-down version of Johnny Cash’s “The Man Comes Around,” ramps up the action and gore, as we see a shirtless Taylor-Johnson show off his impressive body.

Chandor directed the film from a screenplay by Richard Wenk, Art Marcum, and Matt Holloway. Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and David Househalter also served as producers.
