Diane Keaton and Kathy Bates’ film “Summer Camp” will hit theaters in May 2024

Group comedy summer camp The film starring Diane Keaton, Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard is set to hit theaters as the weather warms.

Roadside Entertainment announced Friday that it has acquired U.S. distribution rights to the comedy from writer-director Castiel Landon. The film will be released in theaters nationwide on May 31, and the film’s cast also includes Eugene Levy, Beverly D’Angelo, Dennis Haysbert, Nicole Richie, and Josh Peck.

summer camp It follows Nora (Keaton), Jenny (Bates) and Mary (Woodard), who remain friends after becoming inseparable at their childhood summer camp. While they risk being swept away, the three agree to return to the forest for the next camp reunion.

Howard Cohen, co-president of Roadside Economy, negotiated the deal with UTA Independent Film Group and CAA Media Finance on behalf of the filmmakers. The film is produced by Saks Picture Company and financed by Project Infinity. Keaton, Alex Sachs, and Dory A. Rath, Stephanie Heaton Harris and Tyler W. Cooney serve as producers summer camp.

The film is a fun, heartfelt ode to friendship, with amazing performances all around, and the chemistry between Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy is romantic comedy gold.
