Chelsea Somme joins the Warner Bros. franchise. Motion Picture Group – The Hollywood Reporter

Longtime communications director Chelsea Summey is joining Warner Bros. Pictures. Discovery as Senior Vice President of Communications at Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group.

Summer moves across the hills to Burbank from Amazon MGM Studios, where she served as head of corporate communications for the studio’s film group.

Before joining Amazon in 2021, the CEO spent nearly a decade as a 20-year-old^y Century Fox, now known as 20^y Century Studios, where she rose through the ranks to become senior vice president of corporate communications. There, she did it all: overseeing media relations, executive communications, corporate events, talent relations, and awards campaign strategy for the studio, as well as the day-to-day operations of the global communications team.

She has worked in many award-winning and blockbuster films, including… Bohemian Rhapsody, Deadpool And Deadpool 2, The Greatest Showman, The Martian, The Revenant, Hidden Figures, Life of Pi, And the ice Age Franchise, among many other things. During her tenure, she also played an integral role in developing and leading the studio’s crisis communications strategy.

Sumi began her career in a variety of corporate communications and publicity roles at both Paramount Pictures and CAA.
