Veda box office collection day 6: After two successful days, John Abraham’s film grosses Rs 60 crore | Bollywood News

On Tuesday, John Abraham’s latest film Veda box office collection recorded its lowest single-day earnings since its Independence Day release. After a disappointing performance on Monday with a collection of just ₹15 crore, despite the Raksha Bandhan holiday, the film’s revenue plummeted over 50% to a mere ₹6 crore on Tuesday, according to initial estimates from industry research firm Sakhnilq.

Despite praise for the performances of Abraham and co-star Sharvari Wagh, *Veda* has failed to resonate with audiences. The film’s poor box office performance is further compounded by stiff competition from Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s *Stree 2*, which has overshadowed *Veda* at the box office. To date, *Veda* has grossed ₹161 crore domestically, lagging behind both *Stree 2* and Akshay Kumar’s *Khel Khel Mein*, the latter of which has also struggled, with a six-day total of ₹171.5 crore.

On Tuesday, *Veda* saw a nationwide attendance rate of just 15.60%. In Mumbai, the attendance was 15.25% across 187 screenings, while the National Capital Region recorded a slightly higher attendance rate of 17.75% across 232 screenings. Other cities, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, and Surat, had limited screenings with similarly low attendance.

Directed by Nikkhil Advani, *Veda* marks another underperforming film for John Abraham following the box office failures of *Attack* and *Ek Villain Returns*. Both previous films failed to recoup their budgets, grossing significantly less than their reported production costs. Abraham, however, did enjoy recent success with the blockbuster *Pathaan*, in which he starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan.

Meanwhile, Sharvari Wagh, who starred in *Maharaj* and *Munja*, has seen better box office success, particularly with the latter. Despite *Veda*’s struggles, the cast and director recently attended a party to celebrate the film’s release.
