‘Tiger 3’, directed by actor Salman Khan, did not perform well at the box office and failed to make the expected box office gains over the weekend. Although the film got off to a strong start at the box office on November 12, box office sales slowed in subsequent weeks. However, Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Animal’ needs to cross Rs 500 crore at the global box office this week before it releases. Tiger 3’s 15th day of release was on Sunday and the film recorded an average attendance in theaters.

According to trading website Saknilk, early estimates suggest that the Tiger 3 has fetched Rs 6.65 lakh on its 15th day of release. Despite being a Sunday, the movie collection remained almost the same as Saturday. Currently, the total collection of India in all languages stands at Rs 271.09 crore. Till Saturday, the film’s total worldwide collection touched Rs 420 million.

The film had a Hindi occupancy of 22.96 per cent and the maximum collection came from Mumbai, which had a occupancy of 29 per cent.

There are only four days left until Maneesh Sharma’s Ranbir Kapoor’s ultra-violent film ‘Animal’ hits theaters. The film is expected to grab a large chunk of the movie-going audience and will impact Tiger 3’s business. Animal’s pre-order business is already threatening Saruman’s spy film.

Tiger 3 is the third film in the Tiger series and is part of Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe and was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 300 crore. The film stars Salman as the title character and Katrina as Zoya. Emraan Khan is introduced as the antagonist Aatish in the movie. His other YRF films included in this include ‘Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘Pasaan’ and ‘War’. There is no update regarding any other sequels, except ‘War 2’ which will feature RRR star NTR Jr.
