2024 has officially begun and several pan-Indian films from regional industries across the country are all set to hit the screens for the Hindi audience.One in the pipeline is the much-awaited Chiyaan Vikram starrer action actor tangaran. Ever since the first look and teaser of the film was released, it has been making headlines mainly because it offers a glimpse of Kolar Gold Fields, popularly known as KGF.
The crazy worldview created by the production team has already been conveyed in the preview video, but the mention of KGF caused a lot of attention. However, not many members of the public are aware of the fact that the story of this movie captures the real events of what happened at the Kohler Gold Mine. Mounted on a massive scale, tangaran is a historical drama that takes place a thousand years ago, when the Kolar gold fields were discovered by the British. The latter exploited and plundered them for their own purposes. Set in the backdrop of the early 19th century, the regular action drama is based on real events revolving around the lives of miners in the Kolar goldfields of Karnataka.
Recently, on the occasion of Pongal, the makers announced the release date of the much-awaited film as April 2024. The film marks Chiyaan Vikram’s return to the pan-Indian genre after his blockbuster hits. Ponyin Selvan 1 and 2. The actor has also kept his fans excited with his earthy look and never-before-seen avatar.
In addition to starring in tangaran It also stars Malavika Mohanan, Hollywood actor Daniel Caltagirone and other big names from the Tamil industry. Scheduled for worldwide release in April 2024 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, the film’s music has been composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
