Shocking! Sunny Deol accused of cheating and forgery by film producers Sourav Gupta and Sunil Darshan: Report: Bollywood News
Actor and Congress leader Sunny Deol is embroiled in a series of serious allegations. Film producer Sourabh Gupta of Sandoon Entertainment has accused Deol of cheating, extortion and forgery after he allegedly accepted an advance from him for a film that never materialised.
At a press conference earlier this week, real estate developer turned film producer Sourav Gupta alleged that Sunny Deol had received an advance of Rs 1 crore for a film project and agreed to a total of Rs 4 crore in 2016. Gupta alleged that despite repeated promises, Deol never took up the project and instead opted to shoot for another film. Poster Boys (2017). The allegations took a more serious turn when Gupta alleged that Sunny Deol had forged a contract with his company for 2023. “I read the contract and nobody knew when this contract was going to change. The commission was Rs 4 crore, the damages were Rs 8 crore and the profit was Rs 2 crore,” he said.
Meanwhile, film director Sunil Darshan said, Janwar (1999) and Andaz (2003) supported Gupta’s claims at the same press conference. Darshan claimed that he too had experienced similar problems with Sunny Deol.
“Sunny Deol has acquired the rights to my film. Ajay “I asked him to distribute Star Wars Episode I (1996) overseas but he only paid me a portion of the amount. He never paid me the rest,” Darshan said, adding, “Sunny then asked me to work on the project with him, saying, ‘Trust me and help me,’ and made me pay again.”
An industry source, speaking on condition of anonymity, supported the allegations against Deol and alleged that the actor has a history of breaking promises to several producers. “He has been known as a troublemaker for many years. In response to these allegations, Sourav Gupta filed a police complaint against Sunny Deol. “The police filed a complaint (against Deol) on April 30. His office sent a letter stating that he was out of town on the date he was scheduled to appear,” Gupta revealed.
Sunny Deol is yet to respond to the allegations.
