Sanya Malhotra wins Best Actress award at New York Indian Film Festival

The film Mrs. starring the talented Sanya Malhotra was recently screened at the prestigious New York Indian Film Festival 2024 where Malhotra won the Best Female Actor award for his role in the film.




Directed by Arathi Kadavu, the film is reportedly a Hindi remake of the critically acclaimed Malayalam film, “The Great Indian Kitchen.” The film is described as a “captivating tale of female strength and perseverance” and focuses on the journey of Richa, played by Sanya Malhotra, whose story is one of self-discovery as she navigates the demanding responsibilities of the kitchen and home.

The film features a stellar cast, including Nishant Dahiya and Kanwaljit Singh in key roles. The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja and co-produced by Smita Baliga. The film is produced by Geo Studios in association with Baweja Studios.

Besides “Mrs.”, Sanya Malhotra has a string of upcoming projects lined up. She will soon be seen in “Baby John”, “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari”, “Thug Life” and an untitled film directed by Anurag Kashyap.
