Sandeep Reddy Vanga on why comments made on ‘Animal’ by film industry insiders are upsetting: “There are very few people who don’t have common sense and live privileged lives” | Sandeep Reddy Vanga Bollywood news

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s recently released ‘Animal’ divided audiences and the film industry with its misogynistic and violent content. While some people are enjoying this ultra-violent movie, others are tagging it as misogynistic. Although Sandeep doesn’t care about the audience’s opinion, he is affected by the fact that film industry insiders are still pointing fingers at his films.

In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Vanga said that during the two-and-a-half year production period, he put in his time and effort to make Animal without bothering anyone. He feels that some people in the film industry are privileged and lack common sense.

Artists such as Javed Akhtar, Kangana Ranaut, Konkona Sensharma, and more recently Kiran Rao have criticized Animal’s violent and misogynistic tone.

“I’m not reacting to everyone. For people who are in the film industry and don’t know the deal yet, that makes me even more angry. If someone who’s not involved says something, I don’t know anything. I take it lightly. Everyone thinks I’m retaliating a lot. I’m not retaliating much. They have no common sense, don’t know anything about life, don’t see anything, have a privileged life. A few people are sending ,” Sandeep said.

The director insists that “Animal” was made with a lot of hard work and dedication, and it would be unfair to pass judgment on his labor of love.

“It took me two and a half years to make this film (‘Animal’). From the time I came to Mumbai and opened my office and sat down, from pre-production to release, it was two and a half years, believe it or not. We only went out for lunch once, because the person who sent us lunch was off that day. So we got off from the office,” Vanga recalled.

He further added, “We look after ourselves and work with dedication. If someone comments on us, is it aapko gusa nahi atta?” Chap bait toge? “Tu woh hi reaction kal raha hoon mein aur kuch nahi (Won’t you get mad? Will you shut up? So I’m just reacting to it and nothing else. there is no)”.

Animal stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandana and Tripti Dimri.
