He said, “You know why Shilpa and Deepika are doing action in films now, because now they have the budget and scale. You can say they don’t have the budget. They can’t do action. It’s not like there aren’t actresses like her.” There are a lot of girls in our industry who, with training, can do the same kick-ass action as action heroes, but then the movies need to be as big as the movies they make with male stars. I feel that. If it’s a script for women, the budget won’t be that high.
He continued, “If movies of that scale that we’re talking about are seen overseas, it’s because of that market. The reason this kind of business is starting to happen here now is because we have so much to offer. Because there’s a budget and there’s an audience for it. Before, there was an audience, but now it’s on a bigger scale, and even if it’s a heroine action movie, people are coming to see if it’s done right. They come. I feel like that’s more important.”
Rohit Shetty also revealed the biggest struggle faced by filmmakers.
Recognizing the challenges faced by filmmakers, Rohit revealed that the biggest struggle lies in meeting the expectations of audiences accustomed to high production scales.
Highlighting the financial constraints, he said that even for a Rs 700-crore project, the actual share of producers would be around Rs 275-30 billion after taxes and other expenses are taken into account. .
The ‘Golmaal’ director said, “Audiences are used to that scale and we don’t have that kind of budget, so that’s the biggest struggle we’re going through right now. cannot exceed 500 million rupees.It can go up to 700 million rupees, but that is very rare. It’s half.It’s actually Rs 300 million.If you have a business of Rs 700 million, then your business is about Rs275 million or Rs30 billion and this is the producer’s share. ..So we don’t have that kind of budget… It’s not true that we don’t have those kinds of technicians or those kinds of technicians that we don’t have actors that can do stunts or actresses that can do those stunts. Or whatever, they just don’t have the budget.If you look at Minami Sangyo, I take my hat off to someone like KGF who took such a big risk.They took that risk and made such a big movie.
