Ravenglass and the Eskdale Railway feature in new Bollywood movie

One of Britain’s oldest and longest narrow gauge railways, the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway in the Western Lake District, is featured in a new Bollywood film that has just been released in Indian cinemas.

The comedy-drama ‘Jinma 2’, the sequel to the 2021 Bollywood hit ‘Jinma’, explores the stunning It depicts a journey along a seven-mile long railway line.

Jimma, which released in 2021, broke several records in the Marathi film industry in the Indian region and featured London as a filming location. This event brings together seven women from different socio-cultural backgrounds and age groups to celebrate life.

Zip World Windermere, a high-ropes adventure attraction that gives tourists the chance to slide, balance and jump on trees above Windermere, England’s largest natural lake, is featured in the film. Another major Cumbrian attraction.

Directed by Hemant Dome, it stars three well-established celebrities in Indian television and films. Bollywood fans of Sonali Kulkarni, Sayari Sanjeev, Kshithi Jog and others will no doubt be looking forward to the film’s release on Amazon Prime at a later date.
