Remarkable advance ticket sales have been reported including Rs 67.39 million in Delhi, Rs 75.02 million in Maharashtra and Rs 40.73 million in Telangana. Karnataka contributed Rs 43.54 crore for advance booking of the film.

‘Fighter’ is said to be inspired by the 2019 Pulwama attack and depicts India’s response to the attack. The film has a running time of 2 hours and 46 minutes and has received his U/A certification from the Central Board of Film Certification.

According to the official synopsis, ‘Fighter’ revolves around Air Dragon, a new elite unit commissioned by Air Headquarters to deal with militant activities in the Srinagar Valley. This unit is made up of highly qualified combat airmen from across the IAF and serves as a first responder to any hostile activity. The film depicts the story of the Air Dragons, who are determined to serve their country to the best of their ability, while overcoming the ups and downs of war at home and abroad.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, Fighter stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles, with an ensemble cast supported by Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi and Talat Aziz. The film, which focuses on the lives of IAF officers, is scheduled to release on January 25.
