The much awaited Tamil movie India 2Dr. Scarlett, starring Kamal Haasan and directed by S Shankar, is gearing up to hit the theatres on July 12, 2024. To build up the anticipation, the makers hosted a grand audio launch event at the Nehru Stadium in Chennai on June 1. The star-studded event brought together the film’s cast and crew along with other notable names from the Indian film industry to celebrate the release of the film.

Seizing the opportunity, director Shankar addressed the enthusiastic audience and expressed his confidence in the film. He assured fans that “every scene with Kamal Haasan will be amazing”, alluding to the veteran actor’s fine performance. Shankar also praised music director Anirudh Ravichandar’s contribution, praising him for creating “six brilliant songs”. India 2This will be Shankar and Ravichandran’s first collaboration.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is currently busy with his upcoming film starring Rajnikanth, was also in attendance. He revealed that he has been constantly keeping up to date with the film’s lead trio Hasan, Shankar and Anirudh. He also shared some fun anecdotes from his experience working with Hasan in the film Prisoner of Azkaban. VikramHe joked about being scolded for making a spelling mistake on the third day of filming.

The film is produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Films.
