In an old Rendezvous interview with Simi Garewal that resurfaced on Reddit, Gauri had said that she never expected Shah Rukh Khan’s rapid rise in the film industry.
Gawli added that she initially didn’t think he would be a part of the industry and thought he would only do one or two films, similar to how he does in TV serials. Gawli admitted that she had doubts about his success, thinking he would fail after two or three films and soon be relegated to supporting roles.

His acting career began in 1988 with Durdarshan’s Fauji, in which he played a soldier and then moved on to television. He made his film debut in 1992 in a supporting role in Deewana. However, it was after his roles in Baazigar and Darr in 1993 that his career really took off.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan were married on October 25, 1991. The couple have three children together – Aaryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan. Suhana recently made her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s Archies in December. Aaryan Khan will also be making his Bollywood debut as a writer-director with the web series Stardom.
Meanwhile, SRK is gearing up for his much-awaited film ‘King’ starring his daughter Suhana Khan, which is expected to begin production soon.
