Ed Sheeran admits watching Shah Rukh Khan’s movie on a plane, admits to appearing on Kapil Sharma’s Netflix show : Bollywood News
Global music sensation Ed Sheeran recently completed the India leg of his +-=/x tour, leaving fans with unforgettable memories. Sheeran chronicled his adventures in Mumbai on his vlog on YouTube and revealed some surprising discoveries to his Indian viewers.
While enjoying a local chat with cricketer Shubman Gill and comedian Tanmay Bhatt, Ed confessed that he loves Shah Rukh Khan’s films. While traveling frequently, he admitted to watching Bollywood movies, especially Shah Rukh Khan’s movies. “There’s always a Bollywood section on the plane,” he explained, revealing that he watches “quite a few” of SRK films.
The conversation gets electric when Shubman Gill, a former player for Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders, jokingly asks Ed to ask him about his release from the team during an upcoming dinner. It turned out to be a great development. This confirmed Ed’s encounter with a Bollywood superstar, further increasing fans’ expectations.
But the biggest revelation was when Gill mentioned comedian Kapil Sharma. Ed’s face lit up and he said, “We’re going to do that show.” It has now been confirmed that Ed Sheeran will be appearing in Kapil Sharma’s much-awaited Netflix show ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’.
Having said that, it’s worth mentioning here that Ed’s video came out a few weeks after he dedicated a post to the king of Bollywood. The musician is seen learning Shah Rukh Khan’s signature pose in the video. He posted it on his own Instagram handle with the caption, “This is our shape.” Let’s spread the love together… Farah Khan also dropped a comment indicating that she directed the clip, adding, “If this was the last film I directed, I would die happy.”
