“What should be promoted (through IFFI) are good films. Bollywood has its own money, finance and power, and through all this they are entering these fields,” said the famous documentary filmmaker. spoke to reporters here.

Should… Why should these spaces be given to those who already have everything? They don’t need support from the government. What are they doing here? Film festivals are not for them. Film festivals should be for good films,” the director said, referring to the heavy presence of Bollywood at Monday’s ceremony.

The official Indian Panorama selection comprises 25 feature films and 20 non-feature films to be screened at the 54th IFFI.
