The film, which is Junaid Khan’s second film, is backed by his father, actor Aamir Khan, under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. The film will be directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, who is known for directing the film “Hichki” starring “Rani Mukherji.”
Meanwhile, Junaid’s debut novel ‘Maharaja’ was inspired by the infamous 1862 Maharaja Libel Case, in which the leader of a religious sect sued a newspaper for engaging in illicit relations with female followers. . Junaid is said to play a journalist opposite a courtroom drama in her film. The film team has wrapped up its shooting schedule in October 2023, as confirmed by actor Shalini Pandey, who also plays an important role in the production.
In an interview with News18, she also opened up about her experience working with Junaid. she said: “Junaid is a very friendly and refreshing person. He is a good co-star to work with. It was a lot of fun to work with him. We had a lot of fun while filming because we are the same generation. . ‘Maharaj’ was one of his first few projects and so is my project. That’s why there was a very similar energy on set.”
