Bachchan Pandey is the Remake of the 2014 film Veeram in which a kind-hearted villager takes down the enemies of his fiancee`s father, to safeguard their family.

Veeram is a Tamil language action film directed by Siva and produced by Vijaya Productions. The film starring Ajith Kumar and Tamannaah was released in 2014. It went on to become a blockbuster, collecting Rs 83 crore at the box office, as per reports. Veeram was made on a budget of Rs 45 crore. 

Veeram was remade in Telugu as Katamarayudu (2017) with Pawan Kalyan and Shruti hassan. It is also being remade in Kannada as Odeya with Darshan in lead, to be released in September this year.
